2023-2024 September - December - Unit 27 Musical Theatre Techniques or Unit 19 Acting Styles or Unit 10 Jazz Dance technique (60GLH): - Understand the key features of Musical Theatre / Jazz dance / Acting styles - Develop knowledge of practitioners and styles in chosen discipline - Develop skills and techniques in chosen discipline/style - Rehearse and apply skills and techniques in performance - Review personal development and own performance December to May - Unit 3 Group Performance Workshop (120GLH): - Responding to a stimulus - Using workshop techniques to explore and develop ideas - Creating a workshop performance - Collaborate with others - Apply personal management skills - Producing milestone reports of practical wrok - Apply performance skills - Review and reflect on process and performance May - July (Y12 only) Prepare for Unit 1: Investigating practitioners work. |

March - May - Unit 1 Investigating Practitioners Work (90GLH): Y12’s will sit the exam in May and Y13’s will have the opportunity to resit. - Effective research - Understanding of contextual factors of specific practitioners - Investigating creative intentions and themes of practitioner work - Analysing chosen practitioners works - Studying techniques - Comparing and contrasting |
