Year 7 (7-8 week rotation) | Animals in Art - In this project students will: - Research artists based on the project theme. (In lesson time and at home). - Create observational drawings of animals that explore line, shape, tone, texture and form. - Explore a wide range of 2D materials and techniques including, pen, paint and collage. - Explore and develop your own ideas into a final outcome based on the theme. - Create a personal response using 2D materials and relief. - Learn how to use clay safely and effectively. - Create a 3D clay tile based on the project theme. - Present and Evaluate work effectively. Mexican Folk Art - In this project students will: - Research Mexican Folk Art including the Day of the Dead Festival. (In lesson time and at home). - Create observational drawings of artefacts using a variety of drawing methods. - Create a decorative moodboard that explores line, shape, colour and pattern using a wide range of 2D materials including paint, pen, ink and oil pastels. - Explore and develop their own ideas into a final outcome based on the theme. - Create an independent personal response using 2D materials. - Present and Evaluate work effectively. |
