Today we welcomed Dr Alif Moosajee as our Medhedz Guest speaker who is a dentist and owner of Oakdale Dental Practice and the author of ‘The Smiling Dentist’.

The star question came from Jensen Herrick who asked, ‘What happens after university, do you go straight into practice?’ Dr Alif explained you have to apply for the Dentistry Foundation Training (DFT) and if you don’t get in you can only go into the private sector. Most people start in the NHS, build up their portfolio and then move into the private sector when they have the skills for treatments not available on the NHS. For this question, Jensen received a copy of ‘The Smiling Dentist’. Dr Alif also kindly gave us a copy for our school library.
