Students applied to be part in an amazing project, that brings together and showcases technology in an education setting, by creating an Online Learning Platform. 23 students across all three key stages, were chosen to work with Lenovo and PCS Business Systems.
The project’s aim is centered on creating distance learning resources, for students in a range of educational settings, including children in hospital schools such as Great Ormond Street Hospital, giving students the opportunity to visit places that they are currently unable to visit themselves. In conjunction with Elizabeth Woodville Primary School, we will be creating our own website to showcase the content and media we create. This will contain resources, lessons and virtual reality experiences for our school and others to explore. The project and equipment such as virtual reality headsets, 180 degree cameras, tablets and laptops are being provided by Lenovo for the duration of our project.
On Thursday 29th November Mr Chris McQuade; Operations Manager of PCS came to BGLC, to guide the students through the project’s website brief and to demonstrate the amazing equipment!
