Work for students who are at home

The following is a list of work students can be doing:

  • Use the subject knowledge organisers – self test (bring in evidence of self-testing when back in school)
  • Reading (including fiction) – note the pages down in your planner
  • Use educational websites such as BBC bitesize and Seneca learning to work through the topics that have been covered in lessons
  • Use the google classroom to keep up to date with any homework set by your teachers

Year 11 and 13 students

  • In addition to this advice, revision should be the key focus of this period for exam-based subjects
  • Keep in regular email contact with teachers regarding feedback and advice
  • Practise past papers
  • Look at Examiner’s Reports from previous exams (these can be found on Exam Board websites)

Year 12 Post 16 students may also consider:

  • Organise folders and review notes from the year so far
  • Look at examples of AS past papers – specimens should be available on Exam Board websites
  • Continue to ‘read around’ your subject. Look for articles or reports about aspects of your study.
  • Research your P18 options (University, apprenticeships, employment.) The UCAS website is a good source, as is the Careers sections on our school’s website.
