Well done BGLC cohort of 2024

22nd August 2024Mr L Shellard

We are delighted to be celebrating alongside our students today as they receive their results after the past challenging two years.

We are so proud of our GCSE students and what they have achieved .  They are to be commended for their hard work,  determination to succeed and in the way they approached their exams.  We are so pleased to see so many students have decided to stay with us into Post 16 and we wish all those moving onto new and exciting settings all the very best.

We have seen many students achieving phenomenal grades this year and making real progress across all their courses.

What they have achieved as a cohort is to be applauded and we wish them all every success in their future endeavours.  I would also like to say a special thank you to all our staff who worked tirelessly to support our students, going above and beyond to make sure success was inevitable.  I am also very grateful for the support from all our parents and carers who we have worked in partnership with us over these past years to make sure their children have flourished.  Without their support we wouldn’t be seeing the great results we have today, it’s been a real team effort.  Well done the BGLC cohort of 2024, you have so much to be proud of.

Congratulations to the Post 16 ‘Class of 2024’

15th August 2024Mr L Shellard

Congratulations to the Post 16 ‘Class of 2024’

A Level students at the Brookvale Groby Learning Campus have celebrated some excellent results this morning. During Year 12 and 13 students have studied a mixture of rigorous A Levels and Level 3 Vocational courses. The outcomes from this advanced level of study reflect the extraordinary effort and hard work of our students during the last two years. We are really pleased with the outcomes our students have achieved.
Below are photos of some of our students receiving their results this morning. Or visit our FB page, to view all of the photos taken: https://www.facebook.com/BrookvaleGrobyLearningCampus
A huge congratulation goes out to our students and we wish them well in the next chapter of their lives. Many of them are off to university with some going straight into employment and further training.
I would like to thank the parents for their endless support throughout their child’s education. Thank you also to our hard working and dedicated team of staff, who make the achievements of our young people possible during this unsettled period for this year group.
Well done and good luck to our Year 13 students from the Class of 2024.

Will Teece
Headteacher

BGLC Student Shelters

3rd November 2020Mr L Shellard

We came in to school on Monday morning, following the high winds on Sunday night, to find 4 of the 6 gazebos we had purchased for our students damaged beyond repair.
We had purchased the gazebos to give our wonderful students a place to shelter from the weather, within their safe bubbles, during the pandemic.
We have received several lovely messages already from supportive parents offering to donate toward the replacement of the gazebos and thought we would open this up to all to raise the much needed funds.
Given the awful weather we are experiencing at the moment we need to raise the funds as soon as possible.

Mrs Shellard & Mr Wright took Year 10 Design students through the process of designing a 3D object using Sketch-Up design software. Students created an object with volume, personalised it, then all files were 3D printed & keyrings added.
Well done to all!
