THANK YOU in advance #TeamBGLC
Please can you help us to transform this area into a ‘Peace Garden’ for our Students?
We have written to local businesses, but would also like to ask for help from our local community in making our plan of a ‘Peace Garden’ in time for Mental Health week in May (10th-16th) a reality.
Please click here to read the letter content for further details.
We have set up a GoFundMe page: https://gofund.me/d892d9bf
but would also appreciate any physical donations.
We are flying the flag high on our newly installed flag pole!
Thank you for all your kind donations to help purchase this new pole. A massive THANK YOU too, to County Contractors #CountyCon for installing it for free!

Today Year 8 student Jake Toyne was awarded a Headteacher Commendation certificate, badge, pen and logo bug.
This was for an amazing PiXL Edge Character Challenge. It was brilliant to see how Jake tackled the demands of the pandemic in such a positive way and has shown clear evidence of the LORIC skills.
WELL DONE JAKE!

The Big Ask is a survey for children and young people aged 4–17 in England. The survey is split into different age groups, so you can fill in a version appropriate for your age. They have also made easy-read ‘accessible’ versions as well as a version for care leavers.
Why you should take part
This is your chance to have your say on the things that matter to you. You can say what your life is like, what you want in the future, and anything you think is holding you back.
They will use what you say to tell the people who run the country or your local area what you think needs to change to make your life better.
BCI Lockdown Legends
2 weeks before the Easter holidays, each BCI member of staff nominated 2 students who had impressed them during the recent lockdown (Jan to March). On the Friday before Easter (26th March), I presented them each with a certificate and an Easter egg by way of a thank you.
All 12 certificates, including the reason why the student was nominated and by who are here for your perusal.
