24th August 2023Mrs C Anderson

Congratulations to the ‘Class of 2023’

We are delighted to be celebrating alongside our students today as they receive their results after the past challenging two years.

We are so proud of our GCSE students and what they have achieved in the face of adversity.  They are to be commended for the resilience they have shown, the determination to succeed and the way in which they approached their exams.  We are so pleased to see so many students have decided to stay with us into Post 16 and we wish all those moving onto new and exciting settings all the very best.

We have seen many students achieving phenomenal grades this year and making real progress across all their courses, but this isn’t the year to post percentages and highlight the exceptional success of individuals, as we believe all our students have succeeded.

Below are photos of some of our students receiving their results this morning.  Or visit our FB page, to view all of the photos taken: https://www.facebook.com/BrookvaleGrobyLearningCampus

Our community was impacted significantly by the pandemic and these students lost more learning time than many others across the country.  What they have achieved as a cohort is to be applauded and we wish them all every success in their future endeavours.  I would also like to say a special thank you to all our staff who worked tirelessly to support our students through these challenging times, going above and beyond to make sure success was inevitable.  I am also very grateful for the support from all our parents and carers who we have worked in partnership with us over these past years to make sure their children have flourished.  Without their support we wouldn’t be seeing the great results we have today, it’s been a real team effort.  Well done the BGLC cohort of 2023, you have much to be proud of.

Congratulations to the Post 16 ‘Class of 2023’

17th August 2023Mrs C Anderson

Congratulations to the Post 16 ‘Class of 2023’

A Level students at the Brookvale Groby Learning Campus have celebrated some excellent results this morning.  During Year 12 and 13 students have studied a mixture of rigorous A Levels and Level 3 Vocational courses.  The outcomes from this advanced level of study reflect the extraordinary effort and hard work of our students during the last two years.  We are really pleased with the outcomes our students have achieved.

Below are photos of some of our students receiving their results this morning.  Or visit our FB page, to view all of the photos taken: https://www.facebook.com/BrookvaleGrobyLearningCampus

A huge congratulation goes out to our students and we wish them well in the next chapter of their lives.  Many of them are off to university with some going straight into employment and further training.

I would like to thank the parents for their endless support throughout their child’s education.  Thank you also to our hard working and dedicated team of staff, who make the achievements of our young people possible during this unsettled period for this year group.

Well done and good luck to our Year 13 students from the Class of 2023.

Will Teece

Yesterday Year 7 took part in a series of interviews for BBC Radio Leicester. You can listen to the recordings everyday next week, 8.20am-8.30am.

There was a student vs. teacher quiz, stories of BGLC memories, and Teacher's Pet...among others.

We can't wait to listen back!
