Year 10 | Component 1 Exploring the Performing Arts (30%): - Investigate how professional performance work is created - Demonstrate understanding of the skills, techniques and approaches used by professionals to create performance/production work This component will be assessed January - April of Year 10 Component 2 Developing Skills and techniques in the Performing Arts (30%): - Use rehearsal processes to develop skills and techniques - Apply skills and techniques in performance or realisation - Review own development and application of performance skills. This component, begun in year 10 will be assessed in September - December of Year 11 Component 3 Performing to a Brief (externally examined unit) (40%) - Working to a brief set by the exam board to produce a showcase performance - Use skills developed in Components 1 and 2 - Understand how to respond to a brief - Select and develop skills and techniques in response to a brief - Apply skills and techniques in a workshop performance in response to a brief - Evaluate the development process and outcome in response to a brief This component will be externally assessed January - May of Year 11. |
